1. What are you looking forward to the most when coming to Saalfelden Leogang?
Diego: Waking up and looking at the beautiful mountains of Leogang!
Emil: Getting to meet all my friends and ride the course. Last year I was there for the first time.
Tomas: Some riding with the homies and the big party!
Nico: I like the atmosphere with all the mountains. The feeling to be riding in between the peaks is just amazing. Whether winter or summer, I always like the course and the crew of Saalfelden Leogang.
Nicholi: I’m most looking forward to the vibe of a massive event in both slopestyle and downhill. With one of the biggest downhill races happening directly beside our course, the entire weekend is filled with incredible bike riding from some of the world’s best athletes. I’m stoked to be part of it.

2. Out of Bounds Festival not only features 26TRIX, but also the UCI Mountain Bike Downhill World Cup. Would you give the Speedster World Cup track a try?
Diego: Mmmm, I’m not sure (laughs). I’m not very confident when it comes to big bikes so maybe next year (laughs).
Emil: No, I will stick to slopestyle.
Tomas: Nah, I will leave that crazy track to those guys (laughs).
Nico: No, I’d rather not… (laughs).
Nicholi: I’ve been fortunate enough to walk the downhill track there in Leogang several times, and I’ve been amazed at how gnarly it is. I would definitely give that track a try, but I’d be going significantly slower than the racers, haha!

3. How often have you competed at 26TRIX? Were you happy with your result?
Diego: I’ve been to 26TRIX three times in the last three years, and I can say that I’m definitely happy about my win last year!
Emil: I was there for the first time last year and came 5th, so that was such a huge thing for me back then and still is, so I am very happy with that result.
Tomas: I competed at 26TRIX twice, but I got two bad results, so I wasn’t happy. (laughs). But I’m looking forward to doing better this time!
Nico: Just once last year and I was really happy with my result. I managed to win the GoPro Best Trick which was rad!
Nicholi: I’ve competed at 26TRIX three times, coming 1st, 2nd and 4th. The competition level has been massive every time. I was incredibly stoked to win 26TRIX in my first ever year riding the event, that is a moment I’ll never forget.

4. How is your season going for you so far? What are your goals for the rest of the season?
Diego: Until now it went well, my results got better and better at every contest starting with a 5th place than 4th, 3rd, 2nd. It’s time to get the win somewhere (laughs).
Emil: My season started off well with a 3rd place at Crankworx in New Zealand. And then a 7th place at Rocket Air after slipping out in the first run and not getting a good second run. My highlight, though, was winning FISE Montpellier at the end of May. That was my first ever FMB win – I’m absolutely stoked! My goal is to have fun and do my best.
Tomas: The season started pretty well, I just wanna land some good runs having good times and enjoy life!
Nico: I would say very well. No injuries and a lot of fun at home and on every event with the other riders. My goal is to end the season with a good score in the rankings, of course staying healthy and at least finishing the new line at our local spot before the season ends.
Nicholi: So far this season has been awesome for me. The most important win was of course at Crankworx Rotorua. For the rest of the season I’m going to continue pushing my limits as much as possible and try to stomp the best runs that I can at every event.

5. What is your favourite sport besides slopestyle?
Diego: I like every kind or extreme sport, also athletics, gymnastics, motorbike – everything!
Emil: Just got my first downhill bike and I enjoy riding that thing a lot. So, I think downhill riding is one of the things I enjoy the most besides slopestyle. Skiing is a lot of fun, too, but I have rarely done it lately.
Tomas: I like all kind of bicycle riding and I like to surf a lot! And rap! (laughs)
Nico: I really like to ride motocross and skateboard, but when the summer arrives, there’s nothing better than a good session of wakeboarding.
Nicholi: Besides slopestyle, I spend a lot of time playing and watching hockey. Hockey has been a passion of mine since I was young just like bike riding. I of course pursued bike riding as it was my sport at heart. However, I still play a lot of hockey and am a big fan of the sport.
Thanks a lot for your answers and good luck for 26TRIX!
